The Palaszczuk Government has announced it will start work next week on a $1.2 million upgrade of the D’Aguilar Highway at Wamuran.

State Member for Morayfield Mark Ryan said the major resurfacing and road realignment works east of Wamuran would drive safety for the 10,000 residents and businesses who use the section of road daily.

“The D’Aguilar Highway is a key connection for locals and businesses travelling between Caboolture, Morayfield and Brisbane, and key regional hubs like Woodford, Kilcoy and Yarraman,” Mr Ryan said.

“In addition to resurfacing, crews will also carry out minor road widening and realignment, as well as replace guardrails and a traffic island.

“Together with works underway on the D’Aguilar Highway at Stony Creek, the upgrade is part of the Palaszczuk Government’s $1.92 billion, four-year road safety program for Queensland and ongoing commitment to roads in the Moreton Bay Region.”

Works will generally be completed at night from Sunday to Thursday to minimise impacts to motorists and residents.

Traffic controllers, reduced speed limits and road signs will be in place to ensure the safety of motorists and road workers.
