More jobs and a new aged care home on the way for Narangba

24 January 2017

Narangba will soon be home to a new aged care community as construction gets underway on a 91 bed home on Young Road.

Federal Member for Longman, Susan Lamb MP, and State Member for Morayfield, Mark Ryan MP, recently inspected the site with Tingari Group CEO Andrew Meek and were impressed with the works underway and what it will mean for the community.

Ms Lamb said that the provision of care for our elderly citizens is one of the nation’s top priorities.

"After working and raising families for a large part of their lives, our seniors deserve to have the services they need to live with dignity, whilst continuing to play an active role in their community," she said.

Mr Ryan said that project was bringing more jobs to the local area.

"In addition to construction jobs for the next 12 months, up to 100 ongoing jobs will be created once the home is operational in 2018," Mr Ryan said.

"I’m always excited to see projects like this because it means money gets spent locally and local people have an opportunity for employment."

The home is expected to open in early 2018.
