Local Business Owners Join Mark Ryan for Final Coffee Catch-Up of 2018

12 December 2018

A bumper crowd of forty local entrepreneurs joined State Member for Morayfield Mark Ryan at Burpengary’s Warba Warba Café (at CREEC) last Friday morning, for his final Small Business Network coffee catch-up of 2018.

The meeting wrapped up a very successful year for Mark Ryan’s Small Business Network, having started from scratch in May, and building steadily with each subsequent event.

Held every second month, Mark Ryan’s Small Business Network events are designed to keep our local businesses up to date with the range of assistance and opportunities provided by the State Government, as well as presenting a great networking forum.

“The support from local business for these coffee shop networking sessions has been fantastic,” Mr Ryan said.

“I’m just the facilitator, it’s the businesses who make it work.

"It’s a pleasure to see local people from such a diverse range of industries getting together and discussing ways they can help each other.

“The State Government grant discussed this month was the Small Business Entrepreneur Grant, and we had Scott Vanderzalm from V-Mech mobile mechanics there to explain how that particular grant had helped him establish his business.

“I reckon in 2019 we can build this network into something even more beneficial for business in our local area.”
