Local community groups, sporting organisations and not-for-profit groups are invited to attend a Community Group Information Night on Wednesday 27 April 2016 at the Grant Road Sports Complex.

State Member for Morayfield, Mark Ryan MP, is hosting the event, which will feature presentations on a range of informative topics for these groups and organisations.

“There is a lot of good stuff being done by our local groups and organisations and I want to provide as much information and assistance as possible,” Mr Ryan said.

“This information night is an opportunity to provide some critical information that might not be known to every community group.

“We’ll have presenters from the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission, the Department of Communities and the Office of Fair Trading talking about how they can assist these groups and organisations with everything from obtaining charitable and DGR status, applying for government grants and compliance with governance requirements.

“These groups and organisations will have the opportunity to connect with presenters as well as network with others from our community.”
