Our community is being encouraged to recognise the efforts of Queensland’s hardworking ambulance officers and paramedics as part of Ambulance Week (7-11 September) celebrations.
State Member for Morayfield, Mark Ryan MP, praised the important work of local ambos and said the State Government is committed to supporting them in their roles.
“From those fantastic communication staff who calmly and patiently answer Triple Zero calls, to the highly skilled paramedics out on the road, the patients transport officers, clinical staff and volunteers, our ambos are the modest heroes of our community,” Mr Ryan said.
Mr Ryan said Ambulance Week is the perfect time for Queenslanders of all ages to learn more about the services QAS provides and how they can play an active role in making our communities safer.
“From station open days to CPR awareness sessions and school visits, the QAS is throwing open its doors and inviting the public to come inside and take a good look around.
“I encourage everyone in our region to get involved in as many of these events as they can and connect with QAS staff and volunteers who are so keen to share their knowledge and passion.”
