State Member for Morayfield Mark Ryan said local groups would share in more than $67,000 worth of funding from the Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
“In this latest round of funding Caboolture Community Care, Caboolture Scouts, Caboolture and District Woodcrafters, and the Caboolture Community Work Co-operative will all benefit from grants that will help them improve their facilities,” Mr Ryan said.
“This is exciting news for these groups and allows them to fund projects that would have otherwise been out of reach.
“It is wonderful to see our local groups being able to improve their premises and facilities, which has a positive effect on the services they provide to the local community.
“Caboolture Community Care, for example, will spend their $32, 787 grant on solar panels, which will slash their power bills, giving them more available money for the counselling and relief services they provide for local people.
“Community groups are the backbone of our region and the Palaszczuk Government is committed to supporting them as much as possible.
“The Gambling Community Benefit Fund is the state’s largest one-off grants program and provides about $54 million a year to our vital community groups.
